Shay's Wedding

So one of my Really good friends had me be a bridesmaid at her wedding. this is a pic of the wedding ceremony. it was outside at her dads place. it was so nice. she looked absolutely georgeous. i am so excited for them.

The only animal that Rylie cared about seeing was the Zebra's. then he was mad when he couldn't bring a real one home, fortuneately he settled for a stuffed one. He absolutely loved the carasoul. he laughed the entire time.

He enjoyed looking at the meercats again this year. they followed him and he thought that was funny. silly cats he called them.


The train was also a huge hit. He wanted to keep going when it was over. He couldn't look fast enough to catch everything, his poor little head was goin a hundred miles a min. back and forth.

Then it was off to the slides. Rylie was scared to go down face first on his belly so the adults had to go first, yup we all did but i will spare you those pic.

So We have way entirely to big of a yard, so we decided to turn part of it into more horse pasture!! we ended up moving our fence in by one log length on two sides. it has shaved off at least one hour of mowing for me Wahoo!!



This is our new tractor that we just bought. it came in so handy moving the fence.

Mommy's Big Helper!!

This is My little helper after we had finished painting the outside of the round correl. he was so covered and so dang cute i just had to take a pic. he worked his little tail off helping me.

Pig Hunting!!

Well in march we went to California wild pig hunting. We stayed in boom town and gambled a little.Then we headed over Donor's Pass to California the next day. it was so pretty through there. it rained most of the way.
We kept seeing orchards and orchards of these trees and couldn't gig out what they were. come to find out they were almond trees. We also had to get a pic of the California happy cows!! lolWe hunted the pigs in rain and snow for the whole weekend. it was so cold that we had to wear thermals. whoever said California was hot is nuts!! We froze. It was so beautiful and peaceful there on the ranch tho. >
then we headed home and stopped and stayed in chowcilla and then the next day drove to Vegas and did some more gambling. it was alot of fun. then we headed as far as saint George and just played monopoly in our room all night. the next day we headed home. it was such a nice vacation that Kevin desperately needed.

Wow so i know that i am way behind on this but here is what we have been up too.
Rylie and his dad dyed all the eggs he was sad when they were all finished.
Easter, rylie had so much fun hunting for all of the eggs. he ran like mad. it was so fun to watch him.

ouch that hurt!!

Rylie my poor little man unfotunately inherited my ability to run into absolutely everything. He ran into our cabinent and gave himself one heck of a shiner. Poor kid! He did however think the black eye was cool, cause only big boys get them he informed me.

I MUST BE CRAZY!!!

Well i think i lost my mind. I got a bright idea to try to go skiing for the first time ever!! it was really fun. I definately am not as flexible as i used to be. i found muscles i didn't even know i had. We went with cody and ashley, and Nick. it was really fun. thanks to ashley and nick i managed to go two days and made it off the hill both times alive. however i had a lot of crashes. i hit tress(ok so they were small) i fell off the rope tow, i fell getting off the lift both days. Kev on the other hand was awesome. he did so great. it was only his second time going and you would have thought he had done it forever. look at him go!!

Bad Words

Well the newest thing in our house is seeing what words we can and can't say!! For some reason Rylie picks up words really fast and can say them all correctly which is good in most cases, but there are those few choice words that we really don't want him to learn, well so every time he says a new one i tell him it is a notty/bad word and he shouldn't say it. he understands and says ok and then we never here it again. well lately when kevin or I say something to him that he doesn't like or want to hear he will say bad word and proceed to give us the same talking to he gets. the problem is here one the obvious he's three and the other one that they are words like your spoiled or in a minute or no! Dang kids these days they are way to smart!!

rylie's newest JOB!!!

So on friday's I sometimes watch amanda Jean for Jana and everytime I have Rylie gets upset if Jana doesn't call and ask him personally to watch her. She even pays him, which he thinks is great. We have to wait until the night before she comes over to even tell him that she is coming or he will drive me bonkers asking when she will get here! It is bad enuf that the night before he runs around finding toys that she can play with and getting his crib ready for her to sleep in, cause he doesn't need it anymore, and finding snacks for them to share. It is so cute!! He absolutly loves her.

Baseball in the House?

We finally decided to teach Rylie how to play base ball. It was so entertaining to watch him. he picked it up really fast. he could hit the ball with either hand.
he got pretty good at the line drives. then he would laugh so hard he couldn't run.

Homemade Goodies

When I was a kid one of my most favorite treats was homemade cupcakes. My mom would always let us help, so I decided to try to make some with Rylie. It was so much fun. He really got into it. He then made sure and shared them with everyone. We made chocolate with vanilla filling in them. they are his new found favorite treat.

Already getting bucked off!!

Well Kevin took Rylie sleigh riding again the other day and he had so much fun. He crashed several times and thought it was great. When Kevin finally coaxed him in the house Rylie was telling me "We went really fast and around like this and then like this and then my daddy bucked me out!" I was laughing so hard! It was all good and he was so tough til i said yeah i see the mark where you landed buddy. then he said is there blood? of course there was a little so I said yes. that was it oh man did the tears fly. what a character.

my new Microwave!!!

well right around Thanksgiving I burnt my microwave up. Man was it a long few months without one. Rylie was so upset that he couldn't have his popcorn!! So he charmed his way into borrowing one until we could get one. thats what I got for Christmas!!! Wahoo the best Christmas ever!! Actually i really was excited to have a BIG one to use!!! Good thing I have such a handy husband to install it for me!!

A day with dad!!

We went sledding. It was so much fun Rylie wanted to ride in the sled all by himself. He crashed several times and just jumped up and said geez dad don't knock me out and jumped back in. We had to force him to come inside. he laughed so hard that he could hardly hang on. it was a perfect day to go. nice, warm and sunny.

Campout in Winter

The other day i came downstairs to check on Rylie and this is what I found.



He told me that it was snowing and raining in here and he didn't want to get wet.
He even made a bed inside of it. how cute and smart is that?!!

December 2008

We went sledding on Rylie's new sled that he got from Santa. He had so much fun. He wanted to go really fast. He said he liked to ride with his dad more cause he went faster then mom, intil they crashed that is.


Rylie built a ginger bread house at Braydee's house. He goes there while I am at work on tues. and wed. he really enjoys playing with her. he picked at the gingerbread house for two weeks sneaking the candy and then finally one day he couldn't stand it anymore and down it all went. he was so funny, he said well mom it happen's!

Kevin and Wade went mountain lion hunting. they got Wade one. Rylie was so upset that Wade took the cat home, he thought that it was for him. We also had a friend here from California that stayed and went mountain lion hunting with us. It was fun.

When we got home we went and got a Christmas tree, Rylie wanted to get the big stick one(quakey). He was so excited on Christmas morning that he just opened presents even if they weren't his, then he would tell us look what you got. it was so fun to watch him. He was a little upset with Santa for not waking him up before he left to say hi though. We spent the day with our both our families.


Rylie went and stayed with both of his grandma's while Kevin and I went on vacation for a week. We went to Las Vegas. It was a fun trip. While we were there we played slots, Went to a variety show, and toured around the town. oh and we also of course hit the Cowboy Christmas. We planned our vacation around a wedding that was down there. Jackie and Marshael's. they got married on the 5th. It was a really nice ceremony. She looked so pretty!

November 2008

Kevin went Elk hunting in Jackson with his Buddy Allen. They were gone for about a week. They didn't see anything that was legal to shoot. oh well guess thats the joy of hunting. Kevin also spent a lot of time at meetings. We spent Thanksgiving with the Payne's, it was a nice day. Rylie had his first sleepover at matt and leslie's. he was so excited all the cousin's went. they had a ball.
we took Rylie mountain lion hunting. He was so upset that we didn't turn the hounds out, oh yeah it was 3:00 a.m. in the morning. what can I say my son is a die hard hunter just like his daddy!!

October 2008

Kevin, Rylie and I took a family hunting trip to Grey's River. It was a lot of fun, even though it rained and snowed on us most of the time.Rylie loved every minute of it, we went on the four wheeler and he fell asleep in the rain, then was mad when we went back to the trailor. what a kid!! we took our horses too and rylie enjoyed riding bare back to and from water each day. he thought he was pretty neat stuff. Kevin got his deer, Rylie was there and was so excited he made us pack him up the mountain to see it. he wouldn't wait til we drug it to the truck. the first thing he said is dad can i have the horns for my room? The whole way home he was concerned that the deer would fall out of the back of the truck, like the four-wheeler had earlier this month. i didn't quite get it strapped in right and we ended up loosing it out of the back of the truck on the highway. oh and we were going oh about 65 miles per hour. yikes did it fly!!! it rolled end over end about six times. after we got stopped kev drove it up into our truck again. no one was hurt thankgoodness.well okay i guess my pride was a little!! oh well it happens.
Rylie enjoyed Trick-or -Treating after his cousin Cole recued him and went to the doors with him. He was so scared and shy, crazy i know especially for him!!
